12-14 June 2026, Plovdiv (BUL)
The 2026 World Rowing Cup II in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, ended with a remarkable overall result for Filippi boats: 47 medals out of 51, including 15 gold, 18 silver and 14 bronze medals.
A race course filled with Filippi boats is always a special sight for us. Beyond the numbers, this result reflects the trust that athletes, coaches and federations continue to place in our boats at the highest level of international rowing.
The first medals of the regatta were awarded on Saturday, when Filippi boats secured two gold medals with Uzbekistan: one in the PR2 Mixed Double Sculls and one in the Men’s Lightweight Double Sculls. At the end of the day, 61 out of 71 Filippi boats were ready to compete for a place on the podium in Sunday’s finals.
The last day of racing brought almost all of the major A Finals and confirmed a very strong Filippi presence across the field. Considering Sunday’s 14 main finals, Filippi boats won 13 gold, 14 silver and 12 bronze medals.
47 medals over 51
15 GOLDS
18 SILVERS
14 BRONZES
One of the most exciting races of the day came in the Men’s Single Sculls. Jacob Plihal, racing for the United States in a Filippi boat, delivered a powerful final 500 metres, closing the gap to his compatriot Samuel Melvin and pushing the race into a head-to-head sprint. He missed gold by the smallest of margins, finishing second after one of the most intense finishes of the day.
Across the weekend, gold medals in Filippi boats came with crews from the United States, Serbia, New Zealand, Italy, Croatia, China and Uzbekistan.
Every international regatta has its own field of competitors, its own dynamics and its own story. In Plovdiv, we are proud to have supported so many crews on their way to the podium, while once again seeing how many athletes and federations choose Filippi boats for their most important races.
Congratulations to all the athletes, coaches and federations who competed at the 2026 World Rowing Cup II.
Thank you for racing with Filippi.
