26–28 June 2026, Lucerne (SUI)
The 2026 World Rowing Cup III in Lucerne, Switzerland, brought the international World Cup season to a close on the iconic Rotsee course. For Filippi, the final stage ended with another strong result: 45 medals out of 65 were won by crews racing in Filippi boats, including 13 gold, 16 silver and 16 bronze medals.
The regatta confirmed a strong Filippi presence from the very first day. In the heats, Filippi boats won 36 of the 50 races contested, while 168 crews competed in Donoratico-built boats, representing 69.1% of the total fleet in Lucerne.
Saturday’s racing had already opened the medal count with 11 podium finishes, including gold medals for Japan in the Women’s Lightweight Double Sculls, India in the Men’s Lightweight Double Sculls and the United States in the PR3 Mixed Coxed Four. By the end of the day, 68 Filippi boats were ready to race across 17 A Finals on Sunday.
The final day on the Rotsee brought 34 more medals for Filippi boats, including 10 golds. Five events ended with a complete Filippi podium sweep: Women’s Pair, Women’s Double Sculls, Men’s Double Sculls, PR1 Men’s Single Sculls, PR1 Women’s Single Sculls.

16 SILVERS
16 BRONZES
Beyond the results, Lucerne also offered a special moment of shared history. During the weekend, the Swiss Rowing Federation celebrated the 30th anniversary of its Olympic gold medal in the Lightweight Men’s Double Sculls at Atlanta 1996: the first Olympic gold won in a Filippi boat by a non-Italian crew. David Filippi joined Olympic champion Markus Gier and the Swiss Rowing Federation for the celebration, marking an important milestone in the relationship between Filippi and Swiss rowing.
Every international regatta has its own story, and Lucerne once again showed the trust that athletes, coaches and federations continue to place in Filippi boats at the highest level of world rowing.
Congratulations to all the crews who raced on the Rotsee, and thank you to every athlete and federation who chose Filippi throughout the 2026 World Rowing Cup season.
The next major appointment of the international season will be the World Rowing Under 23 Championships.
